The AAA Mega Championship is now vacant.
El Hijo del Vikingo has vacated the title due to injury. He underwent surgery last month for a torn meniscus and a ruptured ligament he suffered in a match at Arena López Mateos on February 17. There is no timetable for his return.
AAA has announced that a new champion will be crowned at Triplemania XXXII Monterrey on April 27.
A triple threat took place on Saturday's show from Mexico City with the winner qualifying for the AAA Mega Championship match at Triplemania Monterrey. Alberto El Patron defeated Cibernetico and Psycho Clow to earn a spot in the title match next month.

Vikingo's title reign finishes at 833 days and 23 total defenses. He is now the second straight Mega Champion to vacate the title due to injuries after a multi-year reign. Former champion Kenny Omega relinquished the belt in November 2021 after having held the title since beating Rey Fenix for it at AAA Heroes Immortales XIII on October 19, 2019.
